Can you bind on platform?

Yes! For carriers with Integrated Bind, you can quote, bind, and pay for a policy directly in the Terminal, without ever leaving the platform. Better yet, we’re continuing to add more carriers to the Integrated Bind experience. For other integrated carriers, you can quote in the Terminal and then seamlessly bridge to the carrier’s portal to complete payment and bind. Your application information carries with you, so there’s no need to start over or re-enter the same data.

You may also see offline carriers whose appetites are mapped within the Terminal. If your risk matches their appetite, we’ll let you know so you can continue to the carrier’s portal, complete their application, and obtain a bindable quote.

How do commissions work?

Can I use my direct carrier appointments on the platform?

The Terminal is designed to complement your existing carrier relationships by expanding your market access. Our goal is to help you find a home for more risks by connecting you with markets you may not otherwise have access to. For that reason, direct carrier appointments are not currently available to activate or quote through the platform. Instead, you’ll access additional markets through North Peak Access (i.e., Market Access Appointments and the Placement Desk).

Can I quote E&S business through the platform?

Yes! Excess & Surplus (E&S) markets are available through North Peak Access, and we continue to expand the markets and products available. Depending on the risk and carrier, you may be able to quote and bind directly through the Terminal, or submit the risk to our E&S Underwriting team for additional underwriting and placement assistance.

What lines of business are available?

North Peak Access provides access to a broad range of commercial insurance products, with availability varying by carrier, risk, and state. You’ll find many of the more common coverages, such as BOP, General Liability, Commercial Property, Workers’ Compensation, Commercial Auto, Professional Liability, and Excess/Umbrella, along with more specialized products like Flood, Bonds/Surety, Cyber, and Power-Outage Protection. Our carrier and product offerings continue to grow, so we recommend starting your commercial risks in the Terminal to see which coverage and market options are available.

How do I get started with Bold Penguin?

Getting started is easy and free. No subscription or payment is required. Simply sign up for the Bold Penguin Terminal and provide some basic information about your agency. From there, we’ll guide you through any required setup and help you start quoting. You’ll also have a dedicated Customer Success Manager ready to help you get up and running, find the right markets, and grow your business. And it pays to get started: new agencies get rewarded for achieving milestones.
